The short version: Your health data is yours. It stays in Canada, it's encrypted end-to-end, and we never sell it, share it, or look at it. Ever.
What we collect
We collect only what's needed to provide MedKeep:
- Account information: Your name, email address, and province when you sign up.
- Health information you enter: Medications, dosages, visit notes, and symptoms you choose to record.
- Usage data: Basic, anonymized app usage to help us improve. Never linked to your health information.
We do not collect your SIN, financial information, government ID numbers, or anything beyond what you explicitly enter.
How we use your information
Your information is used exclusively to provide and improve MedKeep: displaying your medications and notes, sending reminders you've enabled, generating printable summaries, and customer support when you contact us.
What we never do
⚠️ These are absolute rules. No exceptions, no fine print.
- ❌ We never sell your data — not to advertisers, insurers, drug companies, or data brokers
- ❌ We never share your health information with employers, government agencies, or insurance companies
- ❌ We never show you advertisements
- ❌ MedKeep employees cannot read your health information — it is encrypted end-to-end
- ❌ We never transfer your data outside of Canada
Where your data is stored
All MedKeep data is stored exclusively on servers located in Canada. We use Canadian cloud infrastructure so your health information never leaves the country. All data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3).
PIPEDA Compliance
🍁MedKeep complies fully with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and with substantially similar provincial privacy legislation in BC, Alberta, and Quebec.
Your rights
- Access: Download a complete copy of all your data from Settings → Export my data.
- Correction: Edit or correct any information you've entered.
- Deletion: Permanently delete your account and all data from Settings → Delete my account. Immediate and irreversible.
